“Very refreshing!” exclaims the packaging of Meiji Salty Crunch chocolate. “A mix of salty candy and milk chocolate!” This isn’t the first Japanese candy to combine chocolate and salt, but it must be one of the most successful; the tiny salt crystals give an unusual extra dimension to the chocolate, without overpowering it. The verdict: TOTEMO OISHI! (very tasty)

Meiji salty crunch and salt chocolate are my two favorite candies! I go to 7-eleven just to buy them! So good. (American living in Japan–not Swede. LOL)
Hi Angela! I’m glad you agree
Almost as good as salty french fries dipped into a milkshake, hehe
I found this candy when I was in Tokyo last month. I brought several boxes back home with me but I am almost out. This was my second favorite candy. The first was a hard caramel barrel filled with a chocolate liquid containing salt crystals. I was told they were called Salt Flowers. Those were unbelievably good! So is Chocolate Salty Crunch.
