Flavour faves

icecreams

In honor of the KitKat flavour competition, here are some cool flavoured things I saw while in Japan. This plastic ice-cream display was in the same Osaka shopping street at the cake UFO catchers.

summer potato

These potato chips are 夏 (summer) flavours! They came out in June. The pink one is a special variety of ume (sour plum) and the blue one is sea salt. The salted plum was very intense!

waffle vanilla biz

These crunchy Biz chocolates were Waffle Vanilla flavour.

lavender

Lavender flavoured white chocolate, a winter specialty made from Hokkaido lavender and blueberries.

creme brulee haagen dazs

True to life, this Creme Brulee ice-cream was topped with a caramelised burnt sugar layer on top that shattered when you tapped it with your spoon (it was a caramel sauce on top of a thin layer of hard white chocolate).
