When I lived in Japan, I was amazed by the amount of cute mascots and characters you came across in day to day life – not just manga and anime characters, but mascots for the subway, for the bus service, for the phone companies, for the dentist, and so on. There was cuteness everywhere you looked. This gorgeous book is a collection of some of the mascots you see every day in Tokyo. From below: the mascot for the Blood Drive, the postal service, the service for the elderly, and the Tokyo Fire Department. I got this from the Chronicle Books website.

That book looks really fun. Everywhere you turn there are mascots in Japan, so there must be enough content for make a couple sequels to it hehe^^
